Chris Teller of Isleta Pueblo has been creating polychrome storytellers, pots, bowls, figures and nativity scenes since 1973. She has won numerous awards over the years at the New Mexico State Fair and the Santa Fe Indian Market.
Chris’s work is very well known and has been published in American Indian Art Magazine, SWAIA Quarterly, Indian Market Magazine, “Storytellers & Other Figurative Pottery” by Congdon-Martin; Berger & Schiffer’s “Pueblo & Navajo Contemporary Pottery” and Gregory Schaaf’s “Southern Pueblo Pottery”. Most everyone who collects storytellers has Chris’s work in their collection.
