Exquisite pottery by Dawn Navasie. Dawn is the niece to Frog Woman, daughter of the late Eunice "Fawn" Navasie, and sister to Fawn Navasie and Dolly Joe. The Navasie family is composed of accomplished potters and skilled artisans. Dawn has secured her place among some of the great ones, already.

As an accomplished potter, Dawn has shown at several major venues throughout the Southwest. She has been featured at shows in Santa Fe, NM., the Heard Museum, and others. She has taken several awards, including Best

of Division, "Hopi Show," Museum of Northern Arizona.
Dawn has won many awards and is listed in Rick Dillingham's Fourteen Families in Pueblo Pottery and Gregory Schaaf's Hopi-Tewa Pottery. Dawn and her sister, Fawn, were taught by their mother Eunice "Fawn" Navasie.

Dawn gets her clay and natural pigments from Hopi and fires her pottery with wood and manure. The shape and painting on these pots are precise and inspired. A piece by Dawn should be part of every collection. The top vase measures 4.5 by 6 inches. Our price $445 ($585)

Dawn Navasie Maiden VaseA great addition to our offerings is this beautiful pot (right, middle) that measures 3.5 inches tall by 7 inches wide and has wonderful shape and design - worthy of the excellent reputation that Dawn so richly deserves. Our price $550 ($675)

And finally, a very fine Maiden Vase by Dawn that measures 7.5 inches tall by 8 inches wide with fantastic detail, great shape, and an extremely high polish. These

Maiden Vases are not that common so we always take them when they are offered by Dawn or by James Garcia Nampeyo who also creates them. This vase has a few very small red flakes of slip on it but they absolutely do not detract from how stunning this vase is to gaze upon. We'd be happy to send close-ups. Fawn Navasie-Garcia created this simple and eloquent pot. Fawn is the niece of Frog Woman, daughter of the late Eunice "Fawn" Navasie, and sister to Dawn Navasie and Dolly Joe. James Garcia Nampeyo is her husband. This piece is free of fire clouds, has even color and a simple design of ancient origins probably originating at Sikyatki. Very fine detail that can be seen in the second image. This piece represents the paths of life, as created by water waves, creating life in a full circle, sometimes at peace - sometimes at turbulence.

Fawn is an accomplished potter and has shown at several major venues throughout the Southwest. She has been featured at shows in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the Heard Museum in Arizona, and others. She is included in Gregory Schaaf's "Hopi-Tewa Potters", Rick Dillingham's "Fourteen Families in Pueblo Pottery" and "Southwestern Pottery: Anasazi to Zuni" by Hayes and Blom. She has signed with her hallmark "Fawn" and hoof print. This pot measures 4.5 inches tall by 6.25 inches wide. $595 ($850)
