| Brenda Kennedy
is a Citizen Band Potawatomi from the Oklahoma City area. Her works are
included in the permanet collections of the Philbrook Museum (Tulsa, OK),
the Southern Plains Indian Museum (Anadarko, OK), the Potawatomi Cultural
Center and the Oklahoma Governor's Mansion. She has exhibited at the following
instiutions: Cherokee National Museum (Tahlequah, OK) Franco-American Institute Exhibit (Rennes, France) Kennedy Center for Performing Arts (Washington, DC) - Night of the First Americans Kilpatrick Center (Oklahoma City, OK) Kimball Art Center (Park City, UT) Oklahoma Art Center (Oklahoma City, OK) Oklahoma State Capitol (Oklahoma City, OK) Philbrook Museum (Tulsa, OK) San Diego Museum of Man (San Diego, CA) Smithsonian Institute (Washington, DC) Southwest Museum (Los Angeles, CA) Southern Plains Indian Museum (Anadarko, OK) She has won numerous awards, including the Trail of Tears Art Show (Cherokee National Museum), the Red Earth Festival), the Philbrook Annual (including two first place awards and one grand award, the Gallup Intertribal, and several others.
