Nora Yazzie is a sculpture/potter from the Navajo Nation. Her work is widely collected and very popular. Daniel and Minnie Yazzie are her parents and it was her mother who taught her to work with clay. Much of her creative inspiration came from watching her grandparents in their work Her grandfather was a sand painter and her grandmother a well-known rug make.

Nora was born in 1954 and is a full blooded Dine (Navajo) from the Four Corners region on the Navajo Reservation. She went to a Navajo Methodist Mission High School where she got her introductions to the arts through clay and creative writing.

She has won awards at the New Mexico State Fair and the Totah Festival. She is included in Guy Berger and Nancy Schiffer's book "Pueblo & Navajo Contemporary Pottery". She signs her work: Nanzebah.
